I’m Jorel — engineer and founder of Dragon Fractal, building Cloud Cost Analyzer (CCA). After spending a year consulting on AWS cost optimization, I kept seeing the same patterns hidden in plain sight in AWS Cost Explorer — idle NAT Gateways, unattached EBS volumes, CloudWatch logs no one reads, cross-AZ chatter. CCA surfaces these automatically with plain-English recommendations and Docker-pullable IAM-role detection. Community tier is free, forever.

Before that, I spent 5 years at Amazon Web Services as a Lead SDE on OpenSearch Serverless, where I built the shard management and autoscaling systems. And before AWS, 16 years at Cimpress / Vistaprint building high-throughput rendering and document services (one handling 83k requests per minute). Two US patents in image rendering.
